Here’s a recent situation that scared me. I was a stay at home mom, being completely humbled by the fact that I left my job of 12 years and we were going from two incomes down to one. Times were tough without a doubt, but I knew that one day I would own my own company. I just didn’t know what I would be doing, but I wanted to help people and be able to give back to my community in some way.

When the pandemic hit, there were definitely times when I was down. What helped me was giving myself purpose and crossing things off my to do list. I found satisfaction out of organizing my items and thought this could be something I could help do for other people. I created my business Instagram account at the end of December and in January, I gifted 5 families in my neighborhood free services to gain experience and portfolio pictures. From there, people started to ask to pay for my services and things took off. Here is a picture I took of myself right before my first consultation. It portrays all of my feelings – terrified & excited – the perfect place to be. What are you afraid of and what’s holding you back?
